WAREHOUSE AND WORKSHOP

Marland has its own warehouse and workshop in Huangpu, Guangzhou, China. This
warehouse is registered in Guangzhou, China under the name of Marland Technical (China)
Ltd.
With its convenient location, the warehouse can be reached from Hong Kong either by ferry
or by car within 2 hours.
The warehouse is totally sheltered with an area of 3,400 sq.m. It was designed and
equipped with an overhead crane of 5 tons SWL and headroom of over 7M to allow for loading
and unloading of open top containers in the correct manner. There is another 2,000
sq.m of opened area within the warehouse area.
At moment there are over 30 staff and mechanics working in the warehouse to take care of
the house keeping, maintenance, overhauling, reconditioning and packing of the stocked
spare parts. |
SECOND HAND SPARE PARTS

Most of the stock is from scrap ships demolished in China. Marland buys the complete
engine from the chosen scrap ship and then dismantles and keeps all the main heavy parts
such as the cylinder cover, liner, piston, rod, crosshead and turbo charger etc.
Then a careful inspection and measurement is carried out to decide and select those parts
that remain within the working tolerance and are free from physical damages or under
repairable condition. These selected parts will then be further inspected to determine
whether they should be sent for reconditioning by special workshop or be overhauling by own
mechanics.
All parts after reconditioning or overhauling will be checked, approved and supplied with
class certificates.

and stocks new parts from the China engine makers. |
